Since our founding in 1994 RRE Ventures has maintained a clear commitment to a simple philosophy – identify talented entrepreneurs attacking high growth markets and partner with them over the long haul to build industry-leading companies.Today we manage $850 million in investment assets dedicated to rapidly growing early stage technology companies.Our team delivers a unique combination of investment, operations and entrepreneurial expertise ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies, as well as an unrivaled network of relationships.We work hard to bring that combined expertise to bear for the benefit of our portfolio companies every day.

Investment Criteria

We actively invest in the New York Metro region as well as Silicon Valley and other major technology innovation centers across the United States.We either lead or co-lead all of our investments,taking an active role on the Board of Directors.Our typical investment size is $2-5M initially, up to a limit of $10-15M in a single company over its full lifetime.

We believe early stage companies need much more than capital from a venture investor. Whether its strategic guidance, operational support, help in landing a major account or simply a sounding board during challenging times – we are prepared to engage each situation as it comes. We challenge our management teams to set very high standards and then execute well against them. But we also have a long history of staying the course through both ups and downs, working very hard to help generate great outcomes regardless of the path required to get there. Diligence Process

While we assess the specifics of each opportunity individually, any plan must convey certain fundamental elements in clear and compelling fashion:

[2] What is the market opportunity? and

[3] What supporting evidence exists now or soon will?

As in all of our other activities, RRE takes a team approach to investment due diligence. Many of our professionals will participate in the process, including meetings with management, technical and financial analysis, reference calls and discussions with customers, competitors and other investors.
