Boulder-based Tendril Inc., a developer of energy management and Smart Grid-related technologies, was awarded up to $85,000 in rebates on sales and use taxes and permit-related fees by the city of Boulder, officials announced Thursday.
Tendril's rebate came as part of the city's 2011 flexible rebate business incentive program. Five applications from other local firms are pending for the 2011 program, Boulder officials said.
Another $350,000 was approved for the program under the city's 2012 budget.
Tendril, which recently renovated and relocated to a 52,000-qsuare-foot building at 2560 55th St., will become eligible for the rebated amount after all related fees and taxes have been paid to the city.
The business incentive that covers a variety of fees and taxes also includes a variety of guidelines for social, community and environmental efforts.
